Stacey believes that every person deserves meaningful access to justice. With extensive trial experience representing juveniles and adults in cases ranging from misdemeanors to homicide, she brings sound judgment and thoughtful advocacy to every client she represents.

From the very beginning of her legal career, Stacey has devoted herself exclusively to criminal defense. Before founding her private practice, she spent more than 12 years defending clients as a trial attorney with the Colorado State Public Defender, representing hundreds of clients across the full spectrum of criminal cases. She is a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College Trial Practice Institute, one of the nation's premier programs for criminal defense trial advocacy.

For much of her career, Stacey has called Summit County home and represented residents and visitors throughout Colorado's mountain communities. Living and practicing in the high country has given her firsthand insight into the unique challenges facing those who live, work, and play there. She understands that criminal charges affect far more than a court case. For many clients in mountain communities, they also threaten careers, families, and reputations.

Beyond the courtroom, Stacey has has invested in the next generation of trial lawyers by teaching trial advocacy courses, coaching mock trial teams, and supervising law students certified under the Colorado Student Practice Act. In each role, she has helped students develop the skills, judgment, and confidence to become effective advocates.

Before attending law school, Stacey taught high school special education and English on the Pine Ridge Reservation. She also coordinated programming for Native American students through the Indians Into Medicine Program and led students from across the country in restoration projects, including Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts in Mississippi and flood restoration at Mount Rainier National Park. Those experiences continue to shape the way she represents clients, guiding them through some of life's most difficult moments with compassion, integrity, and unwavering advocacy.
